The Marquardt District 15 Department of Health Services is dedicated to the promotion and maintenance of the health and wellness of the school community. The role of the health services staff is to promote the physical, mental, emotional and social well being of students with the goal of helping them achieve optimal learning.

WHEN TO KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME FROM SCHOOL:

When student has had a fever of 100° or more within the last 24 hours.

When student has thrown up or had diarrhea within the last 24 hours.

When student has a rash that has not been seen by a doctor.

When student has pinkeye that has not been treated for a minimum of 24 hours.

As instructed by the local health department related to communicable (including COVID-19) and chronic disease guidelines.

The Director of Health Services in District 15 is a registered nurse in the State of Illinois, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, as well as National Certification in School Nursing. Registered Nurses in MSD15 hold Illinois State Licensure in Nursing and Certified Nurse Assistants must meet training and examination requirements set by the state. All health staff are trained in first aid, CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Registered Nurses and Certified Nurse Assistants work under the direction of the Director of Health Services.
