Changemakers

A CHANGEMAKER is someone who has dedicated their time to social activism, volunteerism, and the overall mission of making their communities a better place by elevating all voices. A CHANGEMAKER promotes and supports individuals from all walks of life including those of various ethnicities, cultures, sexual orientation, disabilities, etc. The goal of the event was to highlight the beautiful and diverse tapestry that makes up our District. A night of entertainment featuring Mariachi Creativo, Jalisco Folk Dancers, our Marquardt Middle School choir and orchestra, as well as recognition for three Middle School students and three community members: Chief Pappas of Glendale Heights Police, Kristin Senne, Executive Director of Humanitarian Service Project, and Mr. Emiliano Garcia, Wrestling Coach and former student. Our Changemakers spoke to an audience about their personal stories and journeys, inspiring us all to be Changemakers here in our local communities.

The event was held inside the MMS Performing Arts Center on March 21st. The event was free and open to the public. The evening featured live performances from our MSD15 schools, a dance troupe, and more.
