District 15 Facts

• Maintains a teaching staff of approximately 200 teachers, of whom two-thirds hold advanced degrees.
• Celebrates a diverse population with students representing about 40 countries and 30 different languages.
• Services children from birth to five and their families in three early childhood programs.
• Uses technology as an authentic learning tool in all curricular areas.
• Supports active parent groups in all five schools.
• Works cooperatively with other community organizations as a member of the Glendale Heights/Bloomingdale Character Counts Coalition.
• Cooperates with area community agencies to teach students about substance abuse and gang awareness.
• Maintains a bond rating of A1.
• Has annually received the Meritorious Budget Award from the Association of School Business Officials for excellence in the preparation and issuance of a school system annual budget for almost 20 years.
• Participates in the Cooperative Association for Special Education, Partners for Educational Progress, DuPage County Curriculum Developers, Glenbard Curriculum Council, Audio Visual Institute of DuPage, DuPage Area Vocational Education Association, DuPage Metro Valley Conference.
