Marquardt School District 15's office of Business and Finance practices fiscal responsibility and sound financial management in order to provide the resources our students need to grow and achieve. The Marquardt School District 15 Board of Education budgets and approves its income and expenses annually per Illinois law.
The purpose of the annual budget is to provide a plan for the District to receive and spend money. The budget helps the School Board, District employees, and the public know how much the District can spend and for what purpose. The budget also helps to determine the amount of school taxes that must be levied and how much the District expects to receive from the state and federal government.
The Association of School Business Officials has awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) to Marquardt School District 15 yearly for over 30 years. This award is given to school districts who demonstrate best practices in school finance. 2016-17 School Budget
