Behavior and Expectations
Marquardt School District 15
Marquardt School District 15 wants to provide a safe and positive learning environment for students, teachers, and staff. Below are three ways the District supports this goal:
- The Parent/Student Handbook provides valuable information regarding school rules and Board of Education policies. This information will assist both parents and students in helping to create a productive and safe learning environment at our schools.
- The Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports System (PBIS) is a data-driven, proactive systems approach for establishing the behavioral supports and social environment, and is needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.
- Character Counts! is the nation's most effective character education and student development program.
Parents/guardians are required to read the handbook, review the school polices with their child, and sign the form below with their child to acknowledge receipt. Parents, please contact your school if you would like a paper copy of the Parent/Student Handbook sent home with your child.
PBIS is a school-wide system that helps students achieve social, emotional, and academic success. addresses the social-emotional needs of students. It helps to reduce behavior problems that interfere with student learning and improves consistency in expected behaviors, resulting in students being ready and prepared to learn.
The Six Pillars of Character is a framework of teaching good character and is composed of six ethical values (characteristics) everyone can agree upon: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.
